糸始末な日々 Thread&Yarn Handing Days

以前も紹介しましたオーストラリアのニット雑誌 “ヤーン・マガジン”5号、2007年夏号のP28です。

昨年秋に“Tシャツ改造”のテーマの依頼と白いTシャツを　ヤーン・マガジンより受けて、
わたしの作ったものが載りましたので、ふたたび、紹介しました！

Let me show you it again, so my work is appeared on that’s 2007 summer issue!

I received the theme of “t-shirt for re-construction” and white t-shit from its project at last autumn.

*わたしの名前→

"teed up" “ティード・アップ”

日本では、聞きなれない言葉です。

“ゴルフボールなどを台の上に載せた状態”と辞書には書いてありますが、

“準備はOK”という意味なのか　“注目！”という意味なのか・・・よくわかりません＾＾

“teed up” is the words unfamiliar to Japanese, so that I looked up English-dictionary.
It is said “a small object, used in GOLF to hold the ball above the ground before you hit it.”



表紙がかわいいの！！毛糸のアイスクリームだって～！
今、オーストラリアは夏なので、このような編物ライフは、
今年の夏は、私達の参考になるかもしれません！

That’s cover is simply lovely! So ice cream is made with yarn!
As just summer in Australia, whose knitting life is a good example for us to follow in this summer!

追記；↓の　ま　さんのコメントから、　“ティード　アップ”
の意味が、少し、わかりました。
Tee と　TシャツのTは掛詞になっていて、それを過去分詞形、teedにして　
upはドレスアップで使われるように　良い状態を表す、というものです。納得です。

I understood the word of “teed up” from comment’s ま(ma)
“Tee” makes a pun on “T” in T-shirt, and then it is improved by “up”.

そのとき、2つのイメージが出来ましたが　“組む”ほうにしました。
I could image two, but then I decided to try “cross”.
